Room 19 Cultural Group Leaders!

It was great to see 23 out of 24 Room 19 children participating in the recent Cultural Group rehearsals and performances. You can check out some photos from the day at http://www.owairaka.school.nz/latest-news/cultural-festival.

EXTRA special congratulations to Diyani, Kaito, and Poppy - who were recognised by their respective tutors for leadership, commitment, and positive energy to their group! It is great to see Puriri children being recognised, well done you three!

School Certificate: Antonio

Our school certificate this week went to Antonio. He has made a real effort this term to put his maths thinking into words, and to listen to the ideas of others when sharing strategies for solving tricky maths problems!

Nice one Antonio - a great example to your classmates.

School Certificate: Boston

This week, Boston was recognised for his excellent effort helping out at the Owairaka Athletics Day. Boston has hurt his collarbone, but that didn't stop him covering probably more distance than everyone else, helping out teachers all over the field!

Nice one Boston, thanks for all your help!
