Owairaka School has been fortunate enough to be given access to the excellent online reading resource, "LEXIA Core 5".
It is a targeted learning program, which helps children at the level of reading they are currently at, whether it be decoding sounds and words, or reading comprehension.
Please check your email for two documents - one with instructions, the other with login details.
The details basically come down to this:
- go to lexiacore5.com
- type the email address dcramer@owairaka.school.nz (one time)
- enter your username and password
- do a short test so Lexia can assess your level (parents please don't assist with this)
- get started
Sam can track progress and see how you are getting on, and can even print certificates for the levels you have completed!
Room 19, I am so excited that many of you have started Core5 already. I look forward to seeing your progress, I wonder how many levels you will be able to do during lock down??
