Puriri Toru (Year 3) children had a visit from our friends at Junky Monkeys today. They had just a few rules (which we noticed were the same as our school values!), and then they gave us the freedom to play for over an hour!
Junky Monkeys exists to repurposing junk (a.k.a. Loose parts) into resources for creative play, and to promote a cultural shift towards reduce, reuse, recycle and a circular economy.
We had heaps of fun, and can't wait to see our own loose parts shed open soon on the school field!
Talofa Room 19, great to see and hear that you had a fantastic Junky Monkeys session. What items would you like in our loose parts shed?
ReplyDeleteHow cool! This looks like so much fun. Jess
