School Certificate - Johnson and Tanya

It is great to be able to get together as a school for assemblies again, and to recognise some of the outstanding learning that is taking place in our classrooms.

Johnson and Tanya received certificates this week, for being great learning role models.

Caught Being Good - Iverson and Dolores

Well done to Iverson and Dolores, who received Caught Being Good certificates this week. They have made great contributions to class discussions recently, and have shown that they understand the 'staircase strategy' - taking small steps to get to our eventual goals.

Below is a photo of Room 19 children hosting Puriri Assembly during week 2. We shared our Garden to Table experiences, a Niuean quiz, and the Story of Wairaka.

Garden to Table in Term 4

Room 19 children enjoyed their first Garden to Table lesson at school this week. Some of us worked in the kitchen to prepare a delicious dish to celebrate Niuean Language week, while the rest of us got familiar with the garden beds, tools, and safety expectations when working outdoors.

The feedback on the food was overwhelmingly positive. We all loved the Niuean cuisine, and can't wait for our lesson next week! Recipes can be found on the school Garden to Table blog.

The children in Room 19 are all preparing for performances in the Eden Albert Cultural Festival. This exciting event will be held on Saturday 26 November.

Keep an eye out for a notice with more information from your child's Cultural Group tutor over the next couple of weeks.
