Room 19 had our first visit to the Play Shed (on the field), to experience some discovery time together.
We enjoyed the freedom to choose, both who we worked with and what we did.

Caught Being Good - congratulations to Bailee and Savannah, who received certificates at our Puriri Assembly this week. Bailee worked hard to proof read and edit her persuasive writing, while Savannah has been awesome at completing follow up reading activities. Well done, girls!
Room 19 enjoying their weekly music lesson with Mrs Landall. We are preparing for a concert in week 10!
We had heaps of fun with our Kauri team buddy class, Room 6, in the hall this week. We spent time exploring the giant wooden games from the Wood Botherer. The younger and older children showed some great manaakitanga and cooperation skills.
You can find out more about the Wood Botherer and their games here.
Great work, Phoenix and Johnson, who received Caught Being Good certificates at Puriri Assembly this week. Phoenix has been super focused during learning time this term, while Johnson has created and shared some interesting homework projects. Keep up the great effort, boys!
Room 19 enjoyed our visit to the Auckland Art Gallery this week. It was great inspiration as we get ready for our whole-school Art Exhibition later in the term (week 10).
The children participated in a sculpture building lesson, did a scavenger hunt around some of the current exhibitions, and did an a portrait extension activity in the Animalia room.
Many children commented that it was their first visit to the gallery, and they would be keen to go back again! Please visit https://www.aucklandartgallery.com/ for more information.
Thanks to parents Anna and Daniel who made it a very relaxing day of learning and fun.
Freddie and Jack have made a great start to learning in term three - they have both been focused in their reading group, and making some great contributions to our class discussions. They were recognised with Caught Being Good certificates at our Puriri Assembly today. Well done boys!
