Maddy completed some of our health learning activities this week - she wrote some facts about nutrients, and also learnt about bones in the human body.
Check out Claude's T chart of healthy and unhealthy foods. Do you agree with him?
Shiza not only completed three of our health learning challenges, she also checked out Mrs Johns' word challenge - looking for words with double letters in them!
Another healthy/unhealthy T chart, this time from Leo - do you agree with him?
Lilou gave some of the Tate crafting activities a go at home - here is her soundscape and collage efforts.
Have a go at one (or more!) of these creative ideas from the awesome people at the Tate Museum in the United Kingdom. There are lots of exciting projects to choose from. Share any of the work you do with your Room 19 classmates!
Maddy and Lilou completed the human body word find challenge from our blog.
And from Peter, some facts about human muscles:
1. The cardiac muscle is found in your heart.
2. Skeletal muscles are voluntary muscles
3. The adult human skeleton has 206 bones
4. There are about 600 muscles in the body
5. It takes 6 muscles to move your eye. An eye moves 100,000 times every day
Take a look at this interactive to learn a bit more about the systems of the human body.
The human body is amazing. It can move, grow, detect what’s going on around us and even mend itself (usually). It gets what it needs from the food we eat and gets rid of what it can’t use.
This interactive lets you take a peep at some of the systems within the human body.
Ka pai, Jennia, Lilou, and Hoorad - working hard on your Lexia skills at home. Keep up the great work Room 19!

Dear Room 19 families,
The focus of our Google Meet on Friday will be sharing our 'F' home learning. We are looking forward to hearing your five interesting facts!
Tino pai, Gavin and Jemima, who received Caught Being Good certificates at school this week. Gavin has confidently shared some of his ideas in his first week in Room 19, and Jemima was a great team player when preparing a play to present at Puriri Assembly on Friday.
Well done to ALL the learners of Room 19, who practised and presented an excellent assembly to their fellow Year 3 and 4 students.
We have enjoyed learning about the Tokyo Olympic Games in class recently. We did athlete profiles, packed our imaginary bags for Japan, and learnt lots about the ancient vs. modern Olympics.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to be finding out more about the human body, and all of the amazing jobs it does!
Awesome work, Hanzalah and Hoorad, who received certificates at school assembly this week.
Hanzalah has been working well on his follow up activities in class, and Hoorad has shown confidence when speaking in front of his classmates.
Keep up the great effort, boys.
Dear families, in class we are watching a video series about being respectful! Watch the final episode here: https://vid.ly/4k4y2f
