Cultural Festival 2019

Saturday was the Eden Albert Cultural Festival at Rocket Park. Congratulations to all of the children who performed in groups (every Room 19 child joined a group!) and thank you to all the parents and families who came along to support.

Groups are performing one more time this year, on Thursday 28th, starting at 4.30pm.

Only Rain Down the Drain!

During Green Week, Room 19 had a visit from the Tread Lightly Caravan. We learnt about the importance of putting only clean water down our drains, and we thought lots about where our water goes. We made our own pledges (see above) to share with our families.

Check out some of the work the Caravan is doing at www.facebook.com/treadlightlycaravan

School Certificate - Ali

Tino pai Ali - you have been working really hard in your reading group this term. You have learnt lots of essential words, which is helping you to read fluently!

What a great example for your classmates. Keep it up.

Owairaka Athletics Day 2019

Room 19 and the other children in Years 5-6 had a great day at the local Lovelock Track this week, competing at the annual Owairaka Athletics Day.

Room 19 was well represented in the placings, and every single child entered multiple events. Well done for giving it a go!

Special mention to Carlos, Brianna, Madalin, and Dayton - who were our class relay team, and placed a close 2nd in the Puriri relay.

Caught Being Good - Danica

Room 19 learners have enjoyed our homework 'letter projects' during terms two and three this year. We have learnt so many new facts because of these inquiries into things we are interested in.

Danica completed her home project every week, and loves sharing with the class. Thanks for such informative fact sharing Danica!
