Room 6 always tries to use a "Growth Mindset"

Earlier this year, we spent time learning about mindsets. We learnt that it is quite alright to make mistakes, so long as we are prepared to learn from them. It is very important that we have the right attitude to mistakes. Mistakes show us what we need to work on. We are all improving, if you can't do something right now, just tell yourself that you can't do it yet. The word YET can be very powerful when we think about our mindset. Stay tuned to our blog over the next few weeks to see the rest of the videos in this Mindset series.

Room Six learns to Code

This term, Room 6 is using the website code.org to learn about how the computer programs we use and the websites we visit are made.

If we are literate in this way it will help us to understand and contribute to the digital parts of our society when we are older.

When we use code.org, there is lots of reading and mathematical thinking for us to do.

You can get to our class site by following this link...

Puriri Award Winners - Tiffany and Mozart

Tiffany and Mozart were the latest award winners at Puriri assembly yesterday.

Tiffany is always organised for learning. She is a great listener and likes to share her ideas in class. AND, Tiffany knows that Manners Matter, which is our school focus right now.

Mozart is always looking for extra learning opportunities, he loves to write sentences, and use new words. He also has learnt all his doubles in adding, and can quickly answer questions like 3 + 3 and 5 + 5.

Keep it up you two, more great learning to come in term 3.

Homework Week 10A and 10B

Use this form to fill in each afternoon to complete your homework for Week 10A and 10B.
Write your first math answer in the box after you have worked it out, and then move onto the next question.
For spelling, get a parent or adult to read the word out loud and type in your answer for you.
By the end of the week you should be a lot better at answering the questions and remembering the spelling.
